This ground marker, which is both tactile and visually contrasting, is used as (serves as) a guide throughout the entire (travel) chain mobility chain The (podo)tactile pavings (stone) or vigilance strip (BEV) is also a device adapted to visually impaired people. The paving stone warns blind and partially sighted people of an obstacle or potential danger in an outdoor or indoor pathway, such as stairs, traffic lanes or any other potentially dangerous environment. The paving stone is contrasted with its surroundings and has a non-slip surface.

Proople’s tiles and guide strips are manufactured in France (in the Loire Valley 49); their unique formula offers unrivalled impact resistance and durability and allows for both indoor and outdoor use.
